The 2015 Crawfish Festival was held May 16th at Aversboro Restaurant 1411 Aversboro Road, Garner, NC 27529. The exciting day of food and fun in our hometown is for the valuable cause of support for the Captain Joseph House Foundation.
Our military families sacrifice so much in the name of freedom and our Gold Star Families have suffered the most. The Captain Joseph House Foundation (CJHF) is a one-of-a-kind non-profit corporation created to lend support for the Gold Star Families of our military’s Fallen heroes.
The 2015 "Military Appreciation Day" Festival activities included:
- 800lbs of All-you-can eat FRESH Louisana crawfish: low country boil cooked to perfection and LOTS of it for just $15 per adult / 12 & under $10; Tickets available at Aversboro Restaurant, our fantastic host
- Cornhole tournament $30 entry fee per team
- Kids activities
- Appearance by Miss Garner
- Presentation of the colors by GMHS Junior ROTC
- Live music by The Toxins, Heidi Lindsey, Alan Johnson. Cody Braxton, Colin Iwanski & Country Justice
- Raffles:50-50 plus lots of donated items AND featured raffle available for Vacation rentals donated by The Rucker Family and The Cahall Family with ALL proceeds benefiting the CJH Foundation
